A brilliant depiction of the after-effects of brain injury, ranging from the memory loss to the emotional lability and lashing out from frustration/confusion. At last a film where brain trauma isn't trivialised by 'recovery' after a few weeks. It portrays the devastating effects on family and friends and is portrayed accurately as a lifelong condition requiring great patience, tolerance and understanding. Paddy Considine & cast are riveting to watch and spot-on in every respect, and as director Paddy Considine really proves his talent. Such a refreshing and authentic film for those who've suffered a brain injury and live with the consequences.
