This is only from trailer. I really like each actor so I’ll watch the full film but I would put this one wish out… let Nicole Kidman use her Aussie accent because I find her American accent makes her sound emotionless. Almost like she struggles to say things that are simple for anyone else. When you see her on talk shows there just seems to be a very natural real sound to her voice. But in so many movies she is an American and her accent sounds as though she’s practicing it as she’s acting. It doesn’t ruin any character to make them Aussie . Also, enough with the wigs. Distracting. And yes, I believe Nicole Kidman is an amazing actress. The comments are based on the characters and not personal against actress.

At one point this show was hilarious. The actors were perfectly cast. Stories funny and enjoyable. Season 5 saw so many cast changes but nothing to the premise. First Carly Hughes exited as Angela, a dynamic and fiery female character over explosive toxic environment and discrimination. Ali Wong, one of the funniest comedians out there, has left (come on, people, why else is she not there) and Doris is no longer delivering biting commentary about being wealthy in newport. The biggest change has been Ana-Kat. Julia Butters has left to pursue what i hope is an amazing career for this young actor. She was truly one of the quirkiest and funniest characters next to Katie. While the actress now playing A-K is good, she doesnt have the same quirky attitude n delivery as Julia. (My nieces, 10&9, got into watvhing the show and love it but they even see the enormous difference in the character and miss the quirky). With 3 MAJOR cast changes where they basically just went with the same race to replace the previous characters but without the same delivery or excitement, the show has lost its energy. It would have been better to relocate the Ottos to a new town, potentially because Greg got a new teaching gig at an Ivy League school and where Taylor got to go for free. It could still be the "fish out of water" it is now for Katie and work for the other 2 kids, and maybe be more enjoyable. Right now, i just watched the HEIST episode where Katie, her 2 replacement friends broke into a fertility clinic. I dont see the humor - actually DIDNT EVEN LAUGH - but wondered why didnt the show just go on hiatus or work to change the work environment so actors didnt have to leave and show solidarity with them. Sorry, i predict Season 5 is the last season of a show that could have gone on much longer. And its going out with a whimper.
