I wanted to like this movie, and it did have its refreshing and humorous moments (I thoroughly enjoyed Brooke Shields going berserk during her interview with Drew Barrymore). The scenery is gorgeous, the lead protagonists are beautiful, and the dog is adorable. Other than that it's just another by-the-numbers romance. I am still puzzling over the point of the random couple booking a room at the inn. The fellow stands there looking so important and then the woman turns around as if she's significant to the story too. Then... nothing. I think that's when I realized this story could have and should have been told and edited better than it was.
All in all, not horrible, but there's better schmaltz out there than this one.
