Slow, and boring. I really didn’t care for the complexities after watching it for an hour but soldiered on with the rest of the film hoping it would get better; it did slightly but not enough for me to recommend it. Wanted to watch it for ages and annoyed I paid to do so. I’ve found lot of Oscar nominated films are slow and boring and this lived up to those expectations.

Glad to see all these other reviews raving about this series. Tried to persuade all my friends to watch it to see if it’s as good as I thought it was, as wasn’t sure if it was just appealing to me. Like most of the others reviewers, I binged on all eight episodes in one session. As one of the other reviewers wrote, it was a pity it wasn’t made when Islamic radicalisation was at its peak, because it may have given a would be convert, pause for thought. Not surprised it was the most watched programme ever on Swedish TV. Don’t really want to give anything away but to say it was gripping is an understatement. Actors were outstanding; it felt like a documentary with genuine people participating.
