Wow. Just...phew. I can honestly say that I have never felt so exhilarated, relieved, and proud of myself to finish a game. I nearly cried when I launched the Neptune. The only thing I can compare it to was the incredible sense of accomplishment when I finished Myst for the first time, but the challenges of Subnautica were visceral, terrifying, PHYSICAL as opposed to the gentle spooky intellectualism of Myst. I spent weeks waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air after dreaming that I drowned in one of those damn wrecks. And all the time and effort spent building a decorating a base, becoming familiar with all the biomes and creatures and resources...it gave me a bit of a pang to just board the rocket and leave it all behind. Basically, be prepared for a physical and emotional commitment if you choose to play this game, but it's SO WORTH IT.
