The storyline is solid and the acting is exceptionally good (Emmy Awards material). The characters are complicated and nuanced, which is great, however, sometimes overcomplicating a character (like they are trying to do with my beloved Gladys, in my opinion) can interfere with the logic and beauty of a story.
Also, the message that crime has consequences does not come through. Instead, it almost feels like those who "try" to do good suffer while the bad guys get away with murder, so to speak.
Otherwise, the show is amazing and a testament to how powerful it is when we tell our stories.
