I am a die hard fan who wanted so badly to love this series. But so much of the writing feels like a forced, clunky and unnatural departure from the core of the original characters, it’s hard to feel a connection. The writers missed incredible opportunities to organically resolve some of the long standing blind spots with the series, while also staying true to the women their audience grew to love. Fans are better off moving forward and pretending like this chapter of the story never happened.
