The omnipresent (most of the time empty/Hollywood style) pathos and misunderstanding of honour, bravery (you know, higher values) is beyond tiresome. There are some good ideas somewhere there, but they are lost to overload of cringe and cheezyness and race for money. Really difficult to watch for those who have read Tolkien's books. Maybe resetting your mind and separating those two worlds (books/Jackson's films and the series) helps? 🤷♀️
