Just started to read . Stopped and looked at reviews. Heartbreaking depressing etc comments. As l returned to reading this is my comment: Throughout history a woman gets pregnant and for some astonishing incredible reason it’s seems it’s the woman’s fault. Her problem. Her shame. Her everything. I will read this book. I like many women have an understanding of wanting to be touched loved heard with passion and at the lovely coupling humans do for more than just pleasure. Especially for a woman as Els. God this world. Your own family dismisses you because of how you ...look. Harrowing times these last four years. I don’t want to feel worse. However unsettling this novel will be l will learn more about myself. I always do. Reading. What a precious gift.
