I really enjoyed this take. The story is dark. The movie is dark. There are no singing animals. However, there's real emotion. From a kid who's abandoned by his family. Then rejected by his kind. Finally, he overcomes it all.
Great story. Well told. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. This is by far my favorite version. Watched with the kids. They enjoyed it too.
