If you left mid ending through then your gonna be confused on why things switched up so fast. I read a comment that complained about a specific scene but if you’d watch 10 more seconds of it that would have been explained and there would have been no need for complaining. My Review: Overall the general plot line is pretty cliche. Girl comes back to an old house that holds a dark secret and she’s always loved by one child and hated by another (or it’ll slowly turn into that) but the overall plot was really creative and fantastic. Using childhood friends as a plot line? Not overly creative BUT the way that they used Childhood imaginary friends is what got me. The legends and myths all made sense in the end and everything fit together perfectly. My only qualm is the costume and special effects artists choices on some of the “scary” monsters Iike the bear or the characters with bulging eyes. The Bear I somewhat get because they are trying to show you how a sweet bear slowly morphed into something hideous and will continue to morph if its imagination isn’t satisfied and sated as well. The bulging eyes not so much, they definitely could’ve done better with that but I don’t think that this was meant to be an overall very horrific movie since I did see quite a few kids under the age of 10 in there. In general I wouldn’t mind a second movie as long as they don’t try to turn it into another Annabell or insidious and either merge the two or three movies or make 80 chapters of it for no gxddamn reason. I’m honestly hoping that that wasn’t their intentions when they made this movie and ended it in the way that they did but it does seem like it could have the potential to have at least three full movies. 10/10 would watch again. It was better than a lot of these horror movies coming out because the although the plot started very unoriginal, all of the information was explained and it all connected together perfectly. You just need to watch it too the end instead of stopping and leaving and then complaining about it.

Honest Option: Read it all to understand I honestly don’t know how I feel about this movie. In some ways it was amazing and in others it really lacked in. One thing I’ll have to say is that there are some plot holes, like, in the end they never explained why the kids were spontaneously combusting and they honestly never really tried to figure it out. All of the kids were to scared yet they continued to party and act like nothing was happening when all of their friends and classmates was dying around them. The only people that was actually doing something was the doctor and she didn’t do much either. I wish that the students had pieced together what was happening and why because I noticed many connections to them blowing up. 1.) All of them were in a crowd or around people during the type of combusting 2.) All of them were feeling hyper/hyped up or an extreme amount of emotions (except the first girl) 3.) They were all around the main character during the time of their death (this doesn’t mean that the main character is the cause but it is something to consider. Especially the last two deaths — her boyfriend specifically) 4.) They were all seniors and from the same high school (obviously) Those are some of the things that I’ve noticed that I wish others had noticed as well. None of the students had died while they were by themselves which I suspect is also because they weren’t feeling intense emotions. When you are by yourself you are more docile and not as likely to get worked up over things. Although I’ve listed some bad things about the movie, I will now list some good things as well. The first thing I’ll start off with is that the main character is funny and doesn’t have a care in the world. I know that this will bother some people but for me, if I were in the same situation as them, it would be a breather. Knowing that someone can still feel happiness during a time of suffering and despair is not something that everyone can do so easily and it’s amazing that she could. Secondly, although the plot had holes in it, it was a good plot and if the holes were fixed when it would be an amazing movie. Thirdly, despite the deaths, the movie was slightly lighthearted. You got to see the connections between the main character, her friends and her boyfriend and I feel like that had some affect on how the story played out and the feelings it gave you throughout. I guess that’s really all I have to say about the movie. I may not have put to many good reasons why the movie is worth watching but it really is a good film that needs a little bit of work. I definitely recommend watching but you may not like the ending as it doesn’t explain the reason of the spontaneous combusting. If it had added that then I think I would have thoroughly enjoyed the movie even more than I did.
