Retired Major Appu Pillai embarks on an unparalleled mission. Despite occasionally realizing his mental clarity is slipping, he hides this from others, executing his tasks with utmost care and vigilance. The authority and strength seen in Sugriva’s commands are mirrored in Pillai's orders. His philosophy of "remembering what’s necessary, forgetting what’s not, keeping only what's needed, and discarding or destroying the rest" could be seen as a 'formula for success' not just for him, but for many others as well. Appu Pillai illustrates how forgetfulness can transform into a blessing, a relief, or even a medicine. Vijay Raghavan’s nuanced and precise performance in conveying these emotional, vocal, and physical expressions is nothing short of mesmerizing. While safeguarding secrets, he doesn’t reveal the inner mental struggles they create on his face. Instead, he internalizes them, calmly confronting circumstances and triumphing as Ajayachandran, a character who emerges victorious despite challenges. In Aparna's relentless quest to uncover truths, even when faced with setbacks, we see her resilience leading her to finally unravel the mysteries. Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali strengthen their roles through controlled and natural performances. Writer Bahul Ramesh, directing the camera towards the enigmatic forest backgrounds, leaves us in awe. This mystery thriller, directed by Diljit Ayyathan, is sure to leave you astonished.

Ullozhukku In the clear sky that stood still for a moment, dark clouds suddenly gathered. The rain that soon began continued intermittently, sometimes intensifying. The water that pooled below struggled to find a way to flow, unable to see a path to escape. Finally, as if letting out a long sigh, the raindrops were drawn in, perhaps to shed tears of joy once more. Here, nature is reflecting the complexities of the human mind. It delves skillfully into the justifications of actions, virtues, and vices, reacting strongly. We can see reflections of mutual love, affection, kindness, respect, compassion, and envy there. The moods of nature shift according to the changes in their desires, dreams, aspirations, and interests. Every time it attempts to clear the stagnant water and move forward, it causes fluctuations in the water level, making the goal challenging. Director Cristo Tomy has chosen actors for his characters who have excelled in conveying emotional depth. Especially Urvashi and Parvathy, who have astounded us by fully embracing and presenting the mysterious emotions of the underflow. The background score by Sushin Shyam seamlessly blends with the music of the rain. Cinematographer Shyju Khalid has presented a landscape surrounded by water, capturing all its beauty and clarity.
