This is a wonderful movie filled with laughter and tears, great dialogue and it reaches out and drags you into that little shanty house. Its characters are so real that you feel what they feel. And when they sang "His Eye is on the Sparrow" I laughed and cried at the same time. I've watched this movie over twenty times and it never gets old.

"I'M WALKING HERE! I'M WALKING HERE!!" That says it all! The entire movie was riveting and Dustin Hoffman was SIMPLY BRILLIANT!!!

I absolutely LOVED this movie from (spoiler alert) the moment she was robbed by Giorgio at the beginning of the movie until she was robbed again from someone who she felt loved her, everything about this movie was Impeccable! I've probably watched it at least two dozen times and I'm getting ready to watch it again. It never gets old, and I hope I live long enough to watch it several dozen more!

HE KILLED IT. IT'S BEEN YEARS SINCE I SAW THIS MOVIE, AND TODAY, YEARS LATER, I CRY STILL! HE SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED AN OSCAR FOR THIS! SO RAW, SO SAD AND SO GUT WRENCHING!

One of my favorites. I've watched it more times than I can remember. Bette Davis was superb!

I love learning about people who live their lives according to their own rules and this documentary has it in spades. I am also one who spends a lot of time on my own and to say that I am a movieaholic would be an understatement. But this family takes that to an entirely higher level. I was mesmerized by them. Their movie reenactments, their love and devotion to family and their seemingly happy lives in somewhat isolation. I couldn't stop watching them, and although this documentary might be an acquired taste for some, I thoroughly enjoyed it. These are real people living their lives and I often think about them and wonder how they are now. I'd love to see an update.

Gena Rowland's performance was INCREDIBLE!!
