After watching the movie Weapons, I found it incredibly boring. The story felt like a 10-minute plot stretched unnecessarily into a two-hour runtime. While the storytelling technique was creative and well-structured, the next scenes were so predictable that I could see them coming from miles away. And because these predictable moments were dragged out for so long, the film became tedious โ and this cycle kept repeating.
I went to see it based solely on the trailer, which made it seem like I was in for a thrilling horror experience. I didnโt read any other reviews beforehand, and I regret that decision. The gore scenes were also surprisingly mild compared to other gore films Iโve seen, which took away much of the intended shock factor.
By the end, I was left wondering what message, if any, this movie was trying to convey โ and honestly, I couldnโt find one.
