Diana really upped some exciting, raw, vocal work on this record. It's wonderful to hear her use her upper register a lot here. Especially on the re-working of the Four Tops' "Reach Out I'll Be There." Her beautiful soprano soars on this glorious re-make.
I believe this re-make is just as strong as the "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" re-make, if not stronger. While I love the Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson contributions, the album seems a bit uneven in terms of the song selections making it a fluid and cohesive project overall. But still, I love it!
