Great writing makes it possible to make a great film with hardly any money. Of course, you need actors who can carry it off but Clive Parsons and Davina Belling made sure of that with Richard Dreyfuss and Bob Hoskins, Jessica Harper and Veronica Cartwright. There is very little like this coming out of the UK today but the French are brave enough.
