This book gets so much praise and I honestly don't know why. It's a thousand pages of filler backstory that doesn't progress the story forward, main character is too indecisive, the men don't read, yet he's studying to be a surgeon, Sprins are very inconsistent, female character is BORING, Sanderson is a very smart man, but that doesn't equal creative. It's more pretentious if anything.
