The protagonist of the story Aparajita Basu and her journey of life is well portrayed in this novel. The lucid style of writing by the author makes reading itl enjoyable. Sudipta's brilliance shines through. The characters are believable. Aparajita Basu,a girl from a lower middle class family in North Kolkata and her relationship with Aniruddha Chatterjee from an aristocratic background, her breaking away of all barriers, moving to America and pursuing her dreams may be familiar to some. But the journey of her life- from girlhood to womanhood consists of many layers. The poignant story is a must read for those who enjoy emotioal novels. The characters remain with you long after you have read it. I enjoyed the book thoroughly.
