The first few episodes of season 1 had the potential to develop into an amazing story. All three main actors are absolutely great! Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I can say about this show. I don't have a bias about who should Jojo end up with. But the drama was centered on establishing a natural bond between the two main leads in the first few episodes. They just broke it completely and contradicted the initial direction. It's like if you are building up a certain narrative about your characters and then you send the story into a spiral of something completely else and then it all stops making sense. I was shocked about how dumbly Jojo broke up with Sunho. The whole thing didn't make the slightest sense. She "liked him so much" and didn't want him to get hurt, so she decided to stay away. Yet she hurt him twice as much by breaking up with him and not even giving him any explanation. I also understand that she felt insecure in their relationship. It just didn't make any sense as she broke up for the reason not to cause him more pain. Hye-yeong's character was extremely clumsily built. He denied liking Jojo on so many occasions. He never even talked to her in the first few episodes. He took zero action. Instead of love or liking, it seemed like a strong obsession with her. After the story jumped forward to the older themselves I couldn't handle the story writing anymore. She was still thinking about Sunho, still loving him, he still loved her back... and she didn't offer him an explanation until the very end?? So many connections were just brushed off and the story started to focus on Jojo and Hye-yeong. Sunho trying to love Yuk Jo was a pure story-writing joke! This story had what could be two wonderful characters with troubled pasts who longed for what they found in each other. They are both similar in a way, they are pure human beings who truly cared about each other. At least that's what the show was trying to portray at the beginning before it went spiraling downward. It could also have an amazing second lead story, and a story of friendship between the two males... it could have been really amazing. I have never NOT finished a drama but I am really thinking I won't be able to follow through with this one anymore. The story felt totally off in so many parts I felt honestly so confused watching it.
