Let me just say....the fact that Mushu couldn't be added to this movie really disappointed me. There wasn't general Shang! I was so excited for this movie I had high hopes for it, but it was really sad to see what it actually became. As someone who grew up with the cartoon and has grown to see live action remakes of all my favorite movies this by far disappointed me. What happened to the AMAZING soundtrack? I'll make a man out of you made everyone dance and sing along. The reflection scene at the beginning really hit home with a lot of the audience. That one scene really encouraged people to see who they really were compared to who everyone wanted them to be. The fact that so much changed may just be my biased opinion, but too much was changed. It's almost like it wasn't even Mulans film anymore. I get that we have a whole new generation moving in and these live action remakes are a first for them but also keep in mind what lessons the old movies taught.
