This movie is extremely heartwarming and at the same time a brutally honest depiction of the transition mankind has made....ill elaborate the transition later.
The movie starts off slow with an impoverished family (Kim family) but extremely witty (or so I believe, you can have a different opinion when you watch it *wink*) trying to make ends meet. But then quickly moves on to being have their way paved with opportunities which oh'boy they seize to the fullest. This opportunity seems to be more like a bait to the ones in the extreme opposite end of the society - the Kim family being at the bottom by the Park family on the top.
Just when you feel that their life has changed for the good and is going all the way up, it, on the contrary, happens to reach the acme of the roller coaster with nothing but descent held for them in the future! When we say expect the unexpected, I'd suggest that you rather take anxiety meds and let yourself relax for it's highly unlikely for anyone to expect anything remotely related to what actually happens in the movie. You will keep clenching your hands together and grind your teeth with the no's and oh's till the end-after the first half of the movie.
There are numerous tiny jewels of wisdom hidden strategically in the movie where the "finders are the real keepers" so I'm gonna leave you all to it to fetch for yourselves.
What we all sometimes forget is that the warmth of one's family and other loved ones is all the motivation one needs to have in life to better themselves and there is not a single person in the world who would deny such purity no matter what that person has gone through. Love is what makes the world go round. But what we essentially forget in all these trials and tribulations is that humanity is the primary form of love and nothing positive can stem out of an existence that simply skips the phase of acceptance of mankind in it's unrelated form to the one we are related to. Most certainly we all are brothers and sisters to start off and love for one another is all we need. (Transition)
A must watch and to be later thought about for days....kind of a movie, y'all. Cheers 🍻
