Horrible! Loved the original! This is what happens when you hire writers and directors who have very little real world experience, don’t understand how things work, and don’t ask someone who knows. Never in the history of mankind has a hunter snuck up on a deer by running through the woods. Any deer would see, hear and smell them and flee long, long before they saw the deer. Dexter held the gun with his thumb in front of the scope, blocking his view and looking like the first time he ever held one. If you are going to tell a story, at least put a modicum of effort into making it a little believable. The worst thing was that Dexter’s knowledge of sharping a blade was laugh out loud crazy. Wrong tools and the motion he used would only dull the edge. Dexter would be an expert blade sharpener with the right tools and a routine that bordered on sensual. Your lack of effort to suspend disbelief is extremely disappointing. What was Dexter ice fishing for with a chain, great white sharks? Stupid. Why were all the fires indoors and out always stoked and burning strong even in the ice fishing shelter that had been unused overnight? Have any of you ever made and maintained a fire? Have you ever met a hunter or been to a hunting store? It’s OK that you have no idea how these things work, but would it give you a hernia to hire someone who does? Your effort to appear woke is sacrificing art for ideology. Please stop. I know elementary school kids that would make a more believable animated deer. Why have you been so cheap? Very Disappointed!
