You’ll have a much better time just popping one of the mortal kombat games into your system of choice. I watched the whole thing just to give it a fair shake but I was pretty darn bored and not even close to entertained. The long and short of it: THE GREAT fatalities.....and that’s about it THE GOOD fight choreography but even this was pretty hokey given what cgi and stunt setups are capable of these days THE BAD pretty obvious cash grab off the mortal Kombat series.....there are a lot of MK lovers posting that this movie stuck to the lore the most out of any, which is great except the way it was done is SO BORING. I spent about 2/3 of the movie wondering when anyone was gonna fight and what in the world unleashing this inner power stuff was about......and then only got corny fight scenes where the writers were obviously just shoving classic MK catchphrases in just to have them in there movie. Not to, you know make sense or anything. 1/10 stars. Again you’ll get more out of popping a mortal kombat game in than watching this train wreck.

I’ve been playing the AC games ever since AC2 came out, and man was I disappointed in Valhalla. PROS Let’s start with the good: - big game, definitely a lot of play time for your money if you like RPGs and grinding -beautiful graphics- I spent so much time just wandering around the mountains in Norway and seaside ruins in England!! - great music! - interesting historical time frame/setting CONS - very very very very repetitive. I started out hating the game but stuck with it for a good 30-40 hours bc everyone kept saying “give it time back starts slow and gets better”......well all that happened was I got bored so I don’t see the magic - not a fan of the story line.It started out interesting but lost the zing after I made allies with the third territory - almost too much to do. Too many green and yellow dots and not a lot of incentive to tackle them all. -GLITCHES - not an AC game- this is straight up rpg with minimal AC storyline. Maybe I didn’t play through far enough but I just couldn’t care anymore. 2 stars for the graphics and music and that’s about it. Otherwise I would have gone full zero. I think someone said AC ended after Origins and right now I have to agree.

This game is definitely not for everyone but is definitely enjoyable by the right type of gamer. Very unique concept, overall world, and gameplay. Good music and very atmospheric. The world is very pretty to work through and very intriguing. But WOW does this game take awhile to warm up and suck you in. Not everyone will enjoy this, and the tasks feel very repetitive after awhile. I also had a hard time with the controls and in-game menus, for some reason they were just not intuitive for me. I put in about 10-15 hours before deciding it just wasn’t my type of game. But that won’t be the case for everyone. If you’re a fan of games like last of us, uncharted, tomb raider, dying light, etc this is probably not for you. But if you like more atmospheric games like no mans sky or silent hill, you may love this one.

It’s unique. It’s unsettling. It’s uniquely unsettling. But is it anything I’d go out of my way to see? Meh. **SPOILERS AHEAD** It was definitely a slower burn and for most people, will get under their skin more than hereditary. Character acting is strong and the movie was well cast. Cinematography is very strong. Pacing of the movie is well done. Script is well written, and the actors do a great job overall. But once the movie hits a certain point, seasoned horror movie veterans can tell how it’s going to end from a mile away. Once you figure out what the cult is all about it’s pretty clear to see where the rest of the film is going. Nothing wrong with that, but in the end it’s just another movie where the main characters stumble into an isolated cult and almost everyone gets killed. Am I sad I saw it? Not at all. Was I a bit disappointed? Sure was. 5/10.
