First man is an emotional and cathartic biopic of a very complex individual. A highly skilled directorial of a controversial subject. The major scenes are dealt with in a very subtle, but powerful way.The performance of the cast is superb, I actually thought Gosling was just a pretty boy but he's got genuine depth. One of the best films I've seen in a very long time.
