I'm glad that I watched the movie before being dissuaded by a few of these silly reviews. The movie was pretty action-packed and entertaining. I thought Jennifer Lopez was very convincing in her role and I enjoyed her exchanges with Smith. Yeah, it may be true that the other characters in the movie were not very developed, but the main character (JLO) did enough to hold my attention throughout the entire movie. Though the movie may not be as deep and as layered as some of these wannabe "critics" complain about, it was worth watching. I really enjoyed it, and I would not be surprised to see it rank in the TOP 10 movies for Netflix.

A+!!! New favorite show & I hate reality shows!! A show like this with an ex-Orthodox feminist & modern trailblazing mom is certainly going to outrage lots of Orthodox Jews, so I am not surprised by some of the unfair low ratings & negative commentary. But, I LOVE this show!!! I am not Jewish, but I was raised in a semi- strict Protestant home although it became less restrictive as I came into my teens. I had to take a minute to review this show & share why I love it. Julia is awesome! She is inspiring in so many ways. She wants to empower her children & women everywhere. Her kids are all sweet & I admire them for being brave enough to share their storylines. Mirium is a freakin powerhouse. I am so much older than her, but I feel like when I grow up, I wanna be just like her. I’m hoping that there will be another season & I hope the producers give us more behind the scenes of Julia at work. Elite’s fashion clothing line was so beautiful & I would appreciate seeing more. Crossing my fingers for more episodes despite the haters. Sure it’s controversial, but Julia’s story of escaping what she saw as oppression needs to be told. Bravo Julia!!!! Don’t listen to the haters!!
