This is essentially a tacky American fighter pilot movie, but in space and with a big budget. Hero-boy swoops in to save the day numerous times, but wait! he's actually going through 1 to 2 emotions so we need to unpack that! So many plot holes, unnecessary filler scenes, and that awful ex-wife fading from the bed scene that disrespects the audience's intelligence. I stopped watching halfway through and then read the plot summary, which incedentally sounds like a child's made-up story. The only redeeming factor was the near future of space travel... although 2001 did that better.
