Was this really written by the same person who gave us Foyle ? - how the mighty have fallen. Looked like a’ cosy crime’ but as time went on very seedy in my view. Rent boys , 4 gay characters and male sex slaves made the plot slightly overbalanced. Very disappointed.

Series 1 was outstanding. Series 2 was awful, very disappointing , switched off halfway. Not a patch on series one . Woke , dark and offensive with a feeble and unimaginative script .

Excellent. Brilliant story, kept me on the edge of my seat . No gratuitous violence/ profanity just a great script. More !

Very good- better than advertised.

Appalling . A timeless classic ruined in an effort to ‘ modernise’ it by inserting sex violence and menace not featured in the book or earlier films therefore degrading and polluting a brilliant story. I’m amazed that people like Coleman took part , clearly something to be ashamed of and not proud of in my opinion.

Outstanding show . So sad it’s finishing.

Formulatic. Some great actors but a well worn script.

Funny , sad , but an all round feel good tale of redemption.

Impossible not to like . Action drama and some comical moments from Simon Peggy.

Brilliant edge of the seat stuff.
