One of my most favorite movies. I'm a history buff and like reading about the Napoleonic period so this hits that spot for me.
The movie is well acted, especially Harvey Kietel's character. The music sets a somber mood throughout. The plot takes both leading characters thru several arcs.
I watch this movie every winter.
