My fave film of all time. Someone pointed out that the age you are when you first see a great film has a bearing on the impression it makes on you. I was 16. No film has ever made an impact on me like this one. Just watched last 1/2 hour now and it still brings tears to my eyes. And I am old enough now to know many families are split like this when social services have to make extremely difficult decisions over people's future.
