I am curious as to what the people who are disdainful of this movie watch themselves. This is a charming old fashioned fairy tale. Young bumbling hero with scornful brothers in tow off to rescue the princess from the clutches of the evil troll. Spectacular scenery, an assortment of loveable and horrible characters and many adventures along the way to the mountain. It is witty and sweet and the heroes have nobility and humility. Does it have cliches? Of course. It is a fairytale. Unlike most modern storytelling, this movie does not resort to obscenity or crassness. It is delightful and I highly recommend I.
