Michael Kroll is a longtime journalist, who knows how to create a riveting opening and keep you reading until you can unravel the mystery he sets up. The characters all have their own quirky personalities, which helps you invest in them and the story. My only wish was that the second half of the novel had moved a bit more story so I could have understood some of the characters' motivations more clearly. Nevertheless a fun read and an important history lesson to boot.
