Incredible. It will take me weeks to digest. It will haunt you all the time you are reading it, and you will want to finish it quickly as the subject matter it too horrible for you to pause on. An incredibly moving story about two women living in Afghanistan in the seventies and after. (I have learnt a lot about Afghanistan by reading this book and have read more since.)
