Abrams and the crew did they best they could with what was left after the train wreck known as The Last Jedi. Performances were killer from everyone, I loved the emotional weight to it all, and even taking Rian Johnson’s message of TLJ being that it doesn’t matter who you are, you can be great, and pushing it further to even say even if you come from terrible, you can be great. Loved the call backs, the visuals, and overall was a very fun movie. It seems like a lot of people are more angry that the movie didn’t have enough time to give exposition and I mostly believe that it just seems like when Abrams set Johnson up for a creative outlet with ideas that fans are excited about, he kept it in a stand still to shut it all down and prioritize a Rian Johnson movie rather than a Star Wars movie. We come for the Star Wars first.
