I can't believe some of the reviews I am reading from some of the "top" film critics bashing this work of art. Many make sure to point out that this is a comic book movie like it's a negative against it, like that means the film is predictable, which many say it is predictable. But anyone with a right mind watches the movie and has no clue what Arthur is going to end up doing. This work of art tackles an important topic in today's society and asks us to sympathize but never accept Arthur's actions.
The direction was beautiful, Joaquin Phoenix should win all the awards for his performance, and the music helped elevate scenes to have a more intense gut punch when you realize what's happening on screen.
Easy 10/10, don't let critics make you think this movie is anything but art. Art is subjective, just like comedy.
