Had I watched the movie without all the hype, I might have enjoyed it more. Despite eagerly watching their interviews and wanting to like the movie, certain scenes just didn't click for me. Pritvis acting in the first part was outstanding – it was my first time seeing him loosing himself while doing a character . However, scenes like the reunion with Hakkim lacked genuine emotion and dialogue, feeling a bit off. The scene where he throws Amals into the water and other scene where he jumps in himself seemed a bit off from a technical standpoint.
I loved the chemistry between Amala and Pritvi. Ibrahim delivered a fantastic performance, and Hakkim's acting before his death was extraordinary. The sandstorm scene and the encounter with the snake were amazing. In fact, there were several remarkable shots throughout the movie.
I initially wanted to give it five stars out of appreciation for their effort, but I decided to give an honest review instead, hoping they can learn and grow.
