this is actually the first Deth record that I finished and I gotta say, upon first listen it was great. The riffs were thrashy and technical, Dave's vocals are really good in my opinion, Kiko's playing was godlike, and Death From Within has a very epic solo section. But upon listening to it after finishing Deth's other records, I noticed that a lot of ideas from those records are recycled on this record; such as the title track being structurally similar to Hangar 18. It was a bit disheartening but knowing that they've made 14 records prior to this one, it would be quite difficult to come up with something new. Also, the production is not that great on this record. But still it's a pretty good record to rock out to and I enjoyed every song off of it.
