Only very slightly similar to the book. Very disappointed. The characters wrong - Harold fat in the book, the judge was a man in the book, Nadine had dark hair that turned white plus loads of small stuff all wrong. I didn’t mind it being set in modern times but why oh why didn’t they keep to the correct story line. A great book ruined on screen. The last series of this book done in the 90’s was far superior and much more true to the book. If you loved the book I suggest you don’t even entertain watching this load of garbage.
