ये परिंदा और 1942 ए लव स्टोरी के बाद विधु विनोद चोपड़ा का बेहतरीन निर्देशन था. विधु ने फिल्म में हर डिपार्टमेंट को बेहतरीन तरीके से दिखाया है और सभी टेक्निशियंस ने अपने काम को जस्टिफाई किया है. अगर बात करें कलाकारों की अमिताभ बच्चन, विद्या बालन और जैकी श्रॉफ ने बेहतरीन भूमिका निभाई है और संजय दत्त ने भी अपनी दमदार अभिनय से लोगों को प्रभावित किया है. शांतनु मोटेरा का बेहतरीन संगीत था इस फिल्म में और यह फिल्म एक बार तो सभी लोगों को देखनी चाहिए.

ऋषि कपूर और दिलीप कुमार का बहुत बेहतरीन काम है, इस पिक्चर में अमृता सिंह ने भी अपनी भूमिका के साथ बखूबी अभिनय किया है, रमेश तलवार का बेहतरीन निर्देशन रहा है और यश जौहर ने फिल्म को बड़ी खूबसूरती के साथ लोगों के सामने पेश किया
