Incredible.
The good, the bad, and the ugly. Heroes, cowards, villains and antiheroes. Disturbing on many levels, but it wouldn't be honest if it wasn't.
Not only do you learn about the war in Vietnam, but you understand why war is so controversial and why some are indifferent about it today. Enthusiasm and pride melt away and one is left with feelings of helplessness and abandon. Like what it was for some back then.
It also gives insight into what was happening here with the riots of the sixties and seventies. Demoralizing, any and every state of mind you could imagine, and those are the more pleasant parts of the documentary.
