Really enjoyed this book...Someone gave me a 1943 Gibson L-00 Banner
guitar. I was able to determine the age from the book- I found no help on
the internet. My guitar has a v-shaped piece of maple instead of a truss-
rod due to the lack of metal during WW2...
John Thomas did a great job and tells a great story about the women who
built the guitars during the war...It's a good read even if you're not a guitar
geek (or a musician)...
The only minor glitch for me was that I have not been able to get in touch
with Mr. Thomas- the e-mail address in the book doesn't work anymore- I
have a couple of questions I would love to ask him...
