During the three seasons of Anne with an E the characters brought to scene prejudice against orphans, homosexual, black, natives, women... Even known the show takes place in the 1800s, those prejudices are still happening in some kind of degree up to these days. It taught beautiful lessons on friendship, respect and love. From family to couples. All with a touch of kids innocence. It was beautiful to see the love and the connections that grew between Mathew, Marilla and Anne, as they became family.
Anne and Gilbert love story also had a special touch to this show, as felt honest, naive and pure. It placed well, as the love story was blended in without taking away other matters of the show.
I was expecting a 4th season not only to see more of Anne and Gilbert that finally got together, as well as to follow up the story of some characters. It was sad to see Ka'kwet left back in the "school" helpless. It would be great to see some kind of movement ending that cruelty.
Anyway, it is a shame that the show won't continue.
