Nope, nada.
This doesn't feel anything like Star Wars; bland, boring, and unappealing.
Most of the characters aren't captivating either, save for Sol, played by Lee Jung-Jae who was decent at least. He portrays as a wise, kind Jedi which I want to see more of him. However Sol appears to be the only important and intriguing male character who you think plays a major role in the story, but instead pushed aside by "strong willed" female characters. Okay, I get it...your trying to go for an all women and less men involvement approach, but can you at least make their characters and story interesting?
The twins on the other hand, well they're okay to say the least. I got kinda lured in the first episode when one of the twins, "Osha" gets wrongfully accused of murdering a jedi but turns out it was her twin sister, Mae. Speaking of how that jedi died...it's pretty ridiculous. Yo, HOW CAN A LITTLE DAGGER KILL THAT FAST??? If you look carefully, the dagger didn't puncture that deep; at least treat it as a fatal wound but not an instant kill, sheesh. When you compare the scene in "Ahsoka," where Sabine gets brutally stabbed through the stomach by a lightsaber...THAT'S A KILL, but no. Sabine survives and gets patched up lickity split. I think Star Wars now, don't understand how lightsabers work and can't differentiate what is a lethal injury to an instant kill, save a blaster shot seems to keep up with the prequels and cartoons.
There are also some unlikable characters imo that have no zing or uniqueness. I'll give you one, his name is Yord. I don't like his personality and he has an annoying habit of acting like he's the hero of the story when it's not about him. Also he is the guy behind the scenes that said "Anakin blew up the Death Star."
Can you believe that?
Going into Episode 3...it's an abomination of story-writing plus unnecessary cringe. Basically it involves a coven of witches chanting as if they are high on something and some awkward character interactions. One of the witches, who so happens to be Osha's and Mae's mothers explaining how the force works like a thread doesn't make any sense whatsoever, the idea that the "force" cannot be controlled, only pulled in a certain direction; as shown where one of the witches in that scene demonstrates by pulling a thread up and down, was hilarious in a bad way. REALLY? Your going to reinterpret the force using a wheel and pulley system? That's plain stupid.
Everything else in that episode was bland and nonsensical, the Jedi committing child abduction crimes; taking away children that have force connections without consent from their parents/guardians (The witches do act a little sus). BRUH, even one of the Jedi, who was actually younger Sol (interestingly) gives little Osha a lightsaber to mess around with, as if its some kind of cool toy. I get that the Jedi are trying to recruit children who are force sensitive, but they seem to apply pressure on the children's parents, as if it's their right to take any child who the Jedi deem as worthy. Near the end of the episode, jeez its just...never mind I'll let you all decide.
I don't know how bad this series can be as it progresses (probably worse) and that's unsurprising. I know that a lot of people are discouraged and disgusted of how "woke" Star Wars is becoming, but I'd say its a mix of unnecessary, cringey wokeness and really bad, atrocious, uninspiring, unfunny story-writing that fails to entertain or I'd say redeem their fans disappointment.
