Was extremely excited for this game. I love the Animal Crossing series and have played it for almost a decade now. Bought it today and could not have been more disappointed. I was finally able to introduce AC to my girlfriend since she's never played, so I let her play first and get her island set up. A little while later she stopped and I decided to play some of my own... to find out that we're forced to share the same island and resources. I immediately lost all interest in the game. Why should we be forced to share one island per console? Her as a beginner and me as a veteran have totally different play styles. Does Nintendo expect me to pay $300 for a new Switch just so I can have my own island? Seems like a massive oversight to me and I will not be playing this game unless they find a solution. My girlfriend, on the otherhand, is having a great time with the game. I just wish Nintendo had been wise enough to allow more than one person to share the same experience...
