This movie was gripping and realistic. It examines the family dynamics of divorce and the actual impact it has on the fragile psyche of children involved. Hugh Jackman was excellent in this role as he comes to the realization of the impact of his actions on the son he’s left behind. Lots of emotion and a sad ending that left me thinking about it the next morning…

I havent read the book. But i like all things super power that arent cheesey and this is definitely not. The acting is strong and the characters are interesting. I wish there was more.

The term "intense" is an understatement. Joaquin Phoenix is outstanding in his performance as someone who has gone over the edge. It was exciting to watch as I cringed at many places throughout the movie. This is a Movie that will stay vividly in your mind for at least a week.
