WAR manages to merge all the right components in order to deliver an "edge of your seat" thriller, but not without some crumbling bits ! Hrithik and Tiger are erected well against each other. Infact Tiger makes a huge leap as far as his acting credentials are concerned. Action is mounted well, but there is nothing "original" about the sequences created. Great thrills does not necessarily need to be big explosions, car chase, machine guns etc......it's the innovation that's count ! Being on par with Hollywood should not be the sole barometer for our creativity. The Hrithk and Tiger face-off in the climax is a drag and lacks a "huge final punch". Dialogues are competent but certainly not "ceeti maar". WAR is a "worthwhile" enterprise and deserves a sequel. Would love Shriram Raghavan (JOHNNY GADAAR, AGENT VINOD, ANDHA DHUN) to take over the directorial reins from Siddharth Anand......Aditya Chopra are you reading this ????
