The movie is like a painting: with amazing visuals and lighting, so that it kept me glued throughout. I think one needs to know about this time in history to fully understand the dynamics: if you do, you will love it. If not it may be confusing. What a treasure of a film!

I had forgotten how much fun this film is. No sacred cows. And yet the gentleness and sincerity of the characters pulls you in more than the emptiness of connections in more recent scifi films..Lots of humor lots of fun.

This is a powerful movie: using dark humor to convey the intense realities of class and caste in India. It also pulls you into the corruption and illusions of democracy through this tale of ambition and dreams. Beautifully filmed and strong acting.

Accurate depiction of dilemmas of nursing homes, where everything is often standardized, which an be demoralizing. Music can be a game changer. Sweet, loving and joyous portrayal.

This is a sweet, but painful film, of a boy growing up too young, to be the adult for those adults who aren't. At times it loses focus, but all the characters work, and I am glad I saw it.

This series is amazingly witty, subtly making fun of the rigid and often hypocritical habits of government in Washington DC.. it is actually very timely in this crazy time we live in politically.

This movie reflects the angst of aging and the feelings that we experience. If you are there already, you understand: if not, then it might not be your cup of tea. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Its about time seniors are portrayed as whole people.

You can't believe you are watching a movie, rather than a documentary, because the reality of it is intense. Very powerful. The boy who plays Zain is amazing. I hope his real life is better. It is also powerful to see the abuses arising out of poverty and desperation, perhaps a wakeup call for the world's entitled societies, who ignore such things.

Maybe because I am from New Mexico, so I am a sucker for all that natural beauty, and the inner peace that it brings, but i enjoyed this film a lot. I am old enough to appreciate all of the issues of the story, and the tenderness of a late-in-life romance. The pace is a bit slow but life is tricky like that.
