AMC does it again. Having a 10 episode season 1 which is based on true events relating to HMS Terror, the show is dark and makes sure that it balances all necessary elements of horror. Jump scares are good and so are the gore scenes. You will empathize with the characters, especially the one played by Jared Harris. This show is gripping, gory, and chilling to the core. It is shot in such a manner and the effects are such that you will get the flavour of the atmosphere and feel as if there's ice besides you. Its definitely worth spending time on as it's well written and tightly packed to serve its target audience. Definitely hooked and waiting for more seasons now.
