I love this show! More relatable than the Heights. Love Lin Manuel Miranda but this first-generation-born Dominican American growing up in Washington Heights was able to relate to the Gordita Chronicles in every way, not the musical. It was a nice musical but didn't relate. The glam older sister, the teacher saying no Spanish, and the sexist shop class in Gordita, I totally relate. I'm reliving my childhood. I love the parent's relationship, also reminds me of my family. The positive and motivational Dad, the mom boss awesome. The soundtracks with the popular bands of the 80s were perfect. How we related to Halloween and how the parents wanted to indulge in the American culture. YesYes! Thank you Cast and Zoe Saldaña and Eva Longoria for bringing this to life.
