Very much enjoyed watching Handsome Devil. It was moving and lovely while breaking away from the rom-com trope. There were a few moments where the conflicts between characters were resolved in a glossed over fashion. In attempt not to give away the storyline it felt like we jumped from betrayal to forgiveness and skipping the reconciliation. A wonderful film you should watch, though it could have had even greater depth that was well within its reach.

Lovely coming of age film. While still relevant it is a bit of a period piece for younger audiences as some cultural norms and laws have changed. For example drinking age. Beyond that the strain on friendships and family for most may echo more of a bygone era (for the better). All this in account, well worth watching and becoming part of ones personal collection of gay cinema.

It's light hearted and sweet. Traditional Rom-Com. It's nice to see a light hearted gay film that is set in the primary characters transition from 20's to 30's.
