It started well, the first episode was quite good, but the events and characterisation in episode 2 were just silly. I wish I hadn't invested 2 hours of my time. Some good acting by the police characters but that's as far as it goes. Disappointing after all the pre-publicity.

They should have let it die with Perez. It used to be brilliant. The new series is predictable and weak and it is poorly cast. The best part is the scenery. Don't waste your time watching it.

Unconvincing opening episode, implausible behaviour of the two main characters - just silly.

Just a little bit weak. Rather clumsy attempts to portray racism and misogyny. Toby Jones is a good actor but not convincing in this role. Acting is rather naive and predictable. The earlier TV documentary is much more riveting.

Implausible, too many coincidences and unconvincing acting. Very disappointing.

I hope that Stephen Graham gets an award for this. Probably the best tv performance I have ever seen, particularly when he is taken in by his relative in Ireland. His character would not automatically attract sympathy but Graham's portrayal of an alcoholic on his uppers is deeply moving.

Poor, forced jollity. Tried to revive what the show had before ; it failed.
